7 Wonderful Things to do on Spring Break in Oahu.

Kailua Beach, Oahu

How did March happen already?  It did, and so with that, we all know Spring Break is a big part of that month for travelers & staycationers.

Let’s discuss some awesome things we think you should do while Spring Break is upon us!  Instagram style…because it’s all about the visual somedays.

#1  Surf-Waikiki offers surfing lessons

There are some options if you are visiting and didn’t bring a surfboard.  And maybe don’t know how to surf. Yelp put together a couple of different options (plus you get to read their reviews before deciding.)

Check it out. https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Surf+Lessons&find_loc=Honolulu%2C+HI

#2  Beach-Kailua Beach offers a 4 mile stretch of white sandy beach

Kailua beach is rated as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. With 4 miles of sandy goodness and beautiful blue to stare at, it’s hard not to want to lay down and get some rays.  We can’t really say more than this. I mean, is it NOT beautiful?

#3  Shave Ice after the beach

We all have our favorites.  But after you hit the beach, the best way to cool down is to grab a shave ice.  Not ShaveD ice. But shave ice (when in hawaii, do as the hawaiians do).

This frozen treat topped with your choice of sugary syrup and possibly additional toppings such as condensed milk, ice cream at the bottom…it’s endless what you can add to traditional shave ice. Either way, this is a MUST.  Not a maybe, a MUST.

#4  Visit Pearl Harbor

Although the Arizona Memorial is under reconstruction of their ramps and the boat tours to it is suspended, this is still a place to visit and pay homage to those who lost their lives on December 7, 1941.  In lieu of the Arizona Memorial under construction, They have added a 30 minute harbor tour of Battleship Row.

#5  Take a tour at Kualoa Ranch

Visit this ranch on the windward coast of the island.  There is so so so so much to do. Ride Horse, Take a Movie Tour, Gear up and test your ATV skills, get married on their beautiful grounds, and boat tour to a secret island (whatttttt).

We could say more but head over to their website and see for yourself.

#6  Spend the day at Polynesian Culture Center

Imagine learning about many different polynesian cultures in one place, in one day?    Visit Tonga, Samoa, Hawaii (in Hawaii), Fiji, Tahiti, Aoeteroa. All in one Day. The culture you’ll take away will be amazing.

#7  Luau

Of course you will be doing a luau when you are here?  Right! Many options to choose from. Including the luau option above at Polynesian Cultural Center.  But if that wasn’t on your agenda it’s good to know you have other yummy and fun alternatives.

Luau means a Hawaiian party or feast, especially one accompanied by entertainment.

So be ready to have fun, eat some hawaiian cuisine (try the poi, we are curious what you think), and enjoy the ones you are with!  Don’t say no, if the entertainment pulls you up to help entertain. It will make for an very memorable moment.
